MY LONDON LIST - DECEMBER 2017
Oh that pre- christmas London trip. Family time, lot of art and galleries and strolling the cold streets. The itinerary consists of the usual suspects but also a few new places. Check out the list for my top destinations for December!
1. CLARKENWELL GRIND
Just a stone throw away from the apartment is this beauty. I can't believe we never made a pit stop there for coffee or drinks (probably because it is so close we overlook it all the time haha)! Clarkenwell Grind has a beautiful petrol blue interior and a marvelous full marble bar with gold details. If nothing else this will be a good Insta op for a lazy late brunch.
2. NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM
The last time I was here I was probably 12 years old, but since then a long time passed and Penny Dreadful shot some very creepy episodes of the series here so hell yes this time I am making a pit stop in Nature History Museum too. Every time I come to London I make the usual circle of Tate and some random smaller galleries but this time some dinosaur skeletons are in order.
3. THE MANDRAKE HOTEL
A fairly new addition to the boutique hotel scene in London but I closely followed their launch. EVERYTHING about this place intrigues me. The name (so my cat's name is called Barthimaeus, which comes from a series where Barthimaeus is a demon under the control of Nathaniel, whose cover name is John Mandrake), the interior, the furniture, the bar. It's like a place of witch craft and magic = I am sure I will feel like home there...
4. THE NED
One of my favorite creative getaways. For evenings it's live music and beautiful drinks and in the morning/ early noon it's perfect for meetings and working while getting the breakfast fix. For members there is a rooftop pool but you can also find your way into that Cowshed spa. Full package perfection.
